Winchestival returns to Winchester City Centre on June 16th 2018 – bigger and better than last year, with a line up to match!

We are very pleased to announce our headliners are the amazing Fickle Friends – the hugely popular 80’s style synth pop band, originally from Brighton are signed to Polydor Records and have huge support from BBC Radio One.

Supporting Fickle Friends we have a fantastic line up which includes the Brilliant “The Big Moon” whose debut Album “The 4th Dimension” was nominated for last years Mercury Music Prize. Last week they won the prestigious award of “Best Video” at the NME Awards.

Laurel is a critically acclaimed 22 year old singer song-writer, originally from Southampton, who has been picking up support from Radio 1, 6 Music & Beats 1 – she was Apple Music’s very first “New Artist of the Week”.

Wildwood Kin’s extraordinary debut album entered the top 40 before their Glastonbury performance was featured on the BBC’s festival highlights 2017.

With further support from Orchards, Swimming Girls, and returning by popular demand we have Richard Morris & Tom Millichamp.

With our new “second stage” introducing the very best in up and coming bands from Winchester, Hampshire & beyond we will be showcasing new and exciting bands including Cassava, Arcade Hearts, Costellos, The Collision, Me and the Moon, Hooli, Wren & Frankie Knight.

Seann Walsh

Within two years of his first comedy performance in 2007, Seann became the winner of the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year. Shortly after, other accolades included Chortle Best Breakthrough Act Nominee 2010 and Chortle Best Compere Nominee 2011.

Paul McCaffrey

Winchester’s own Paul McCaffrey is Star of Impractical Jokers (BBC Three), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three), Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), 50 Funniest (Channel 4) and The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC).

Paul is an award-winning comedian (Latitude New Act of the Year, London Paper New Act of the Year) and headlines at the biggest comedy clubs in the country. He has performed four critically acclaimed Edinburgh shows as well as major music festivals: Reading, Leeds, V Festival, Bestival and Latitude.

Following a total sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival’s prestigious Cabaret Bar and a recently announced nationwide tour of Matt’s latest show, It’s My Political Party (and I’ll Cry if I Want To), September 2016 saw the launch of Unspun with Matt Forde, Matt’s new political comedy show for DAVE, combining topical stand-up, filmed segments with the best political comedians from around the world, and interviews with leading names from British politics.
